New Hampshire: Jackson - Two wounded soldiers and their loved ones will get to have an old-fashioned Christmas. Gerald Carrier, a retired dentist from New Bedford, Mass., has been bringing his own family to Jackson in December since 1969. He offered to "adopt" two military families and put them up in a hotel for a week. That prompted businesses to donate gift cards for shopping and activities.
